Spa Triangle: new thermal world in Bad Füssing
An expanded thermal area is opening in Lower Bavaria's Spa Triangle — with new pools, a sauna landscape and views over the Rott valley.
The Spa Triangle of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach and Bad Birnbach south of Passau is growing: in Bad Füssing, one of Germany's most visited spa towns, an expanded thermal world has opened. Fed by the sulphurous thermal water that rises here from around a thousand metres deep, the new area offers additional indoor and outdoor pools, relaxation zones and a generous sauna landscape with views over the gentle hills of the Rott valley. For decades, the warm healing water has been a draw for guests with back and joint complaints. The operators are placing greater emphasis on energy efficiency and also use the geothermal heat of the thermal water for heating. The Spa Triangle is one of Bavaria's most important health regions and lies a good half hour from Passau.
